Before installing Windows 7, it is highly recommended that you modify your BIOS settings and disable your floppy drive support.

Without disabling, you may experience an extremely slow installation process. I haven’t read any technical details on the mechanism behind the setup lag, but it makes an incredible difference in installation time.
